....post a photo of the machine disassembled ready to be carried? is it easy to pack and carry?

Thanks
A,

That is a very interesting question. Basically, does it break down any differently than an E-Trac?

The lower rod is 32 inches in length. The upper rod and housing are 24. When you fully insert the lower rod into the upper rod, the entire package is 36 inches.

Did you mis-state something there or am I confused? The numbers don't add up, unless there is an overlap of 20 inches!

Thx,
Albert

I think its logical Albert, lower rod will go till the battery where is connector, or I am bad calculator ?

I see now I think. I missed the "Fully" part. Too bad, won't come close to fitting in the Minelab backpack.

Thanks Digger
A,

Is it really worth all the trouble of a hard case.

The sandy beach and dunking it in salt water will do all the damge.

A soft case will do the job just fine.:rolleyes:Jerry.

In the case of the CTX the lower rod collapses into the upper rod. Just loosen the camlock and it slides right up into the upper shaft. He's right, it is about a 36 inch package when fully collapsed. I love it because I can now lay my detector across the back seat without tying the doors shut because the won't lock half open!
