Found this in my front yard at about 9 inches it was in the 58-60 on the VDI which considering how large it is surprised me the first photo is what I was referring to the second photo is a few other things I have found have found quiet a few clad coins and only one 1947 wheat cent all of my finds so far are coming from the front yard haven't even started the back yet

I dont know what the first item is, maybe the top of a flag pole perhaps? As for the buckle in the 2nd pic, I find tons of those damn things lol. Great finnds though!

flag pole decoration and a suspender part I think...

Depending on the size I am thinking it is the decorative top to a wrought iron fence post or gate post.

I have seen several of them before and felt they were ends off curtain rod as this is where I remember seeing them back in the early 50s in some of the house we lived in.

Thanks for the replies I was kind of thinking it was a curtain rod end also but still unsure

curtain rod end for sure.unless its real gold.but i dont think even in the 1800's they would make them out of real gold.but who know's.

It's the top of a wrought iron fence post. I have hundreds of these lying around my yard. But no posts!
