My new Excal 1000 with the Blue headphones goes back tomorrow and a new 1000 with Yellow Headphones is being sent tomorrow also. I already found out that the Yellow ones are so much better built. They don't spin and are a lot nicer. Found out all I need to know. I just wanted to see what the new ones looked like and now I know for sure they are built better then the blue ones. I was wondering what you thought of the tone audio of your yellow headphones vice the blue ones Gulf Hunter has. From what I found out they are about the same but the Yellow ones are a tad better then the blue ones and fit better. My hearing is not as good and a lot of high freq is gone.
Happy to see you Spanked Gulf hunter. . He will need that to keep him in line once in a while. My Sweetie does that to me and she is like the bad news bears with her CZ6a. She is always tough to beat. Thank you again and I know you will just love your new Excall 800. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil.

hey tinfoil what are they charging you to change the headphones...btw i cant really tell the audio with the blue headphones except for high and low sounds my sov which i put on good headphones i can really tell the diff in targets by audio and would like to get a waterproff grey gost set on the excal i think the blue headphones are junk lousy tone separtion and always come off in the water hh jim

Timber Wolfs since I have a bad hearing loss. I was going to send it to M/L as I called them and Bitched about what I didn't like about The blue ones. Since I just bought it they were going to do it FREE for me. Now I don't have to send it to M/L as a new Excall 1000 is on it's way with the New Yellow Headphones on them. I think I am still going to get Ron to make the Waterproof Timber wolfs for me so if I can't hear the different tones of the Koss Yellow headphones I will just send it to M/L and they will put the Timber wolfs on for me. You can't ask for better Customer Satisfaction then that from Ron or M/L. I don't like Gray Ghost headphones, you could not give me a pair. We will see. I have been a long time customer of Rons Dixie Metal Detectors and he has always taken good care of me. That is why I have always bought from him since he started his business. I have never had a Dealer that has treated me that good. I also have a Exp ll and a Xterra 70 so M/L has always treated me good too. What can I say. Maybe it is because I am 62, been Metal detecting for 20 years and I don't mind raising hell once in a while and telling it like it is. HH and Later Jerry aka Tinfoil.

To me I think it is a bit more durable. I checked out GH's and then looked at mine, the new ones seem to be better quality. The wire is thinker, but only by a bit, this are very comfortable and work great.

thanks larry aka tinfoil btw dont think its your hearing i can tell different tones with the sov much better with good headphones which is supposed to be same as excal and if the yellow headphones are same spec as the blue ones i wouldnt waste my time shipping to minelab and getcha some good headphones..............ive been a minelab guy for 15 years but have to say the hardware on the excal is junk lower shaft , headphones, knobs , unbalenced shaft....HOPE MINELAB IMPROVES ON THIS AND ALSO THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY HH JIM
