I found it this morning and haven't a clue what type button it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like a WW 2 great seal button.

Yep, that's it alright.

Thanks
tabman

The Great Seal button of the US Army has been virtually unchanged since 1902 to present, we can only guess the age of certain ones by the backing and mounting hardware, but WW 11 would be a good guess on yours Tab.

Thanks for that info Larry, I've got a few one with a back mark and the other two without. I'm not quite sure how to tell the difference?

Oh ok the 2 coat buttons are more flat. I have a cuff button that is more domed with no back mark...?

Nice old button.
