Can someone help me with resizing pics for posting

I just bought a Olympus D-560 and when I resize pics to a smaller size they appear distorted. The camera came with Camedia 4.1 software.
Thank you,
Neil

I use a sony camera and a different software so I don't know if this is applicable.
When I resize there is a choice to change both dimensions or to change one and not the other. That keeps the same(aspect) ratio of width to height. That is what I use and eliminates distortion. Also you can crop the image(if that won't lose something in the shot} and that will also change the file size. I have found that unless I can get down to a file size of under 100, it is really to large for posting. Hope this helps

neil;
When you are in camedia open your image by double clicking on it Then click on edit. Then click on image. select resize be sure to check maintain aspect ratio. then resize to the appropriate file size and save the new resized image to be uploaded.
By maintaining the aspect ratio there should be no distortion.
