Can Scorpion Find Small Stud Earring?

Would someone who owns a Gold Scorpion with a 3 x 7 coil be able to tell me with certainty that it can detect a small 14 k gold stud earring.
It's surprising how many detectors won't, and I want to be sure before I make a purchase.
It's the only "Gold" detector I can really afford. The gold bug is out of my price range.

I have scoured the web for field test but just can't get solid info.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

With my Scorpion, the stock coil has great sensitivity, in All Metal mode it will be able to find match head size gold. The small coil I use just to get in around and between boulders or in a trashy area for better separation. Don't underestimate the stock coil for small gold, it also covers a lot more ground.

I can tell you with certainty that the Scorpion can detect a small gold earing back, or nugget for that matter, with any of it's search coils.
