help me identify these ducks. I saw them while I was beach combing this AM and they alloweed me to get within maybe 15 or so yards from them.

Shortly after I shot these pictures I looked back and they were gone! I never saw them fly away, but they must have as I could see the whole area and they were gone!

a type of Goose that breeds only in the Arctic and occasional comes down your way.
They are more common here on the Pacific side.

I don't recall ever seeing such a small goose before.

These birds were the size of an ordinary duck and were fun to watch.
