Can my Silver disc out 16p nails?

I hit an old homestead and keep busy with large nails. Even with the disc up past foil I will still get hits on large iron nails correct? Thanks

Actually I have a SS Plus (circa 1984 or so ) that is on it's way back from the factory after a tune up. I bought a new Silver uMax and that is what I'm using now. I figured out today that I can Disc out the bigger nails ,,,,but as you said I have to turn it up past nickels,,,,,, and tabs for even bigger nails. I'm still learning how to do this and your advice is helpful,,,thanks,,,,,, Did not6 find any thing but some nice big washers,,,but this area is an old lookout tower that I think the burned to the ground instead of haul off,,,,MILLIONS of nails and all things metal from a building. But I found my first wheatie there so I have a soft spot for it and hit it every time I go by it while hunting
