Can I use Eagle II SL IN water?

I have been using a Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 in up to 3' feet of water (submerging all but the computer unit at the top).

The instructions on the Eagle II SL say coil and pole are "waterproof". Does that mean "submergible" or just able to withstand a little rain and wet grass?

If it does have fun..don't get the body wet. Or meter head..

i wouldnt....my 5.3 coil got water in it that way....was falsing like crazy...had to cut it open and let it dry out a few days and reseal with pvc cement.....i would really love to be able to take my 9.5 into the water but since i almost ruined the 5.3 i dont take that chance anymore...

Sure, if your coil leaks, just let White's know that it is defective. Be careful raising the coil above the control box because the older rods did not have a plug in them to restrict water from running back down the rod and into the control box. You can make your own plug from silicone or epoxy.
