manual level?

do you guys agree the conduct is better than ferrous with this machine

hi i just got my e-trac this past week the factory coin program works really good and to find out wether you use auto sens or manual is the type of ground you are hunting if it is really mineralized you might want to try auto sens but if not try manual just go to where you detect and put it in manul and turn it up as hi as you can get it if you have a lot of instability and you ajust it down and it still is unstable you might want to go with auto sens because it will adjust to the highest sens that the machine can be stable with will you detect.trash density is for when you are hunting in a lot of iron infested ground it will help from the good targets being masked out by the iron and the ground difficult setting is used mostly everywhere to find out if you need to change it is when the detecter is on and while you are detecting look next to where your sens bar is and the one next to it will tell how high the sens the detector will run at if it is staying at 22 or higher you could use nuetral.i also sold my se and got the e-trac and was a little confused but once you reed the manual and andys book you will realiz how easy it is to use hope this helped

As bradley mentioned, why not try some of the "stock" settings until you get the hang of it? I think most of what you want to know in regards to settings will be something you will need to play with to get the best that works for you and the conditions you hunt in. Luckily Andy's book will be perfect for you since there are several examples of settings for the SE and how to convert them to the E-Trac. In any case, you will want to "tweak" to your liking I would think! Have fun with your new toy! :)
