Can I get some feedback/opinions on the Sunray 8" coil vs. the Minelab 8" coil???

that you seem to get ignored around here for awhile. I use a Sunray X-8 99% of the time and LOVE it. I haven't ever tried the Minelab 8 but it is a tad heavier I believe. I cant honestly say which is better since i have never used the Minelab but I do know I couldn't be happier with the Sunray!!!

believe me no two coils even of the same brand work the same, I found one that went deep and the digital numbers held steady-Minelab 7.5" and sold the others. Buy them when there cheap, test them and sale them, even if you lose $5 0r $10 when its all over you won't care because you found the right one for you.

I don't own a 8" coil for my Explorer but I have read where you should do well with either you choose. I have the stock, 15" and the Exc 5". I use the stock most of the time but use the 5" for extra trashy areas, it will get those missed by the larger coils..,one of these days I plan on getting the 8". HH to all,

I just got the Sunray X8 and X5 coils. I used them the last couple of days and I'm very satisfied. The 8" coil sure helps the balance of the ESE. I was able to swing it all day without a sore shoulder. I used the 5" today at our local fairgrounds and it did a great job of separation. It managed to sniff out a 47 Rosie and 4 wheats amongst the massive amount of trash.
