Can I expect better results?

Is a GTP 1350 going to give me more depth or accuracy than my old ADS. I know this may be a silly question but just was wondering if some experienced detectorists have first hand knowledge. My ADS seems to just not go very deep. I have tried the obvious (all metal) and (low disc.). This unit has the 5.5" deep-seeker coil. I currently can only pick up quarters at 4".

I wonder if you can get a bigger coil for that unit? That would surely help depth. Maybe call Garrett and find out. I twould be cheaper than getting another detector. HH, Alan (Ga)

If you had a bigger coil you would do much better. A 5.5 oil ain't going to be a world beater. Have you conducted an air test to see what the absolute depth is? Even that coil should pick up quarters deeper than four inches. The rule of thumb regarding coils is that their diameter determines their depth - so your coil should pick up a coin at 5.5 inches or thereabouts.
