Can i do away with the mid tone ?

I would like to do away with the mid tone on my quickdraw 2 bountyhunter metel detector,so all i hear is the Hi and lo tones. Can i do this myself ? Thanks
 
Tones are programmed into the chip in the detector...no way to disable it...you could try notching out items in that range, but you might miss silver or gold too
