Can I Do A Open Program?

New member
Hello

Newbie to the 3030 but have had and loved the ET for over three years:detecting:

I ended up going to an Open Program with the ET and it worked for me

Is there a way to Open the program for the 3030?

We had a Winter in WNY this year and hopefully it is on it's way out ( 55 Degrees tomorrow and going hunting)

The past few winters did not happen so got alot of MDing done but not so much this time.

I am sure the answers are all in the Forum but I would appreciate a short cut and on Sunday when it will be raining I will
try to get all the 3030 things I need to do get done!

Thanks and HH

Yes you can have a clear screen, meaning accepting everything. Each Disc. Mode (Coin, Beach, etc) has two discrimination patterns. Toggle between the two with the "Detect" button. Upper left on the button pad, and right of the on/off switch. Pattern 1 is usually the pattern with the most disc., and Pattern 2 the least. They can be edited anyway you like, however. For me P2 usually has the 35 FE line disc.d out and in the upper right corner, a two by two square disc.d out. Just toggle between the two while detecting. It's very quick and simple once get accustomed to the machine. There is a lot more that can be done, with tones, modes, etc. You just don't want to try too much at once and get frustrated. The target numbers are pretty much the same as on the E-Trac. Once There is a lot of info in the CTX Resource Center, or just do some searches on this Forum for things you may have questions with. Good Luck with your hunt.....HH

I was putting this together while C&RHunter posted so mostly the same stuff

Best short cut would be to select the stock coins program.

Noise cancel.

When in the stock coins program you can hit the detect screen control button (picture of the coil just left of noise cancel button) once which will toggle you to the 2nd disc screen in that program which is mostly an open screen with the bottom line disced out.

If you hit it again it will bring you back to the more heavily blocked out disc pattern #1.

Programing is more easily done with Xchange2 on the computer when you get the chance but I can understand wanting to get out and find some goodies. Depending on your ground and trash levels you will want to find the best target separation for your situation Ferrous-Coin or Ground-Coin etc. These can be selected by pressing the center menu select button and then navigate the menu.

Thanks to both of you

Was out all day and came back with a wheat (some Clad also) but it is a Learning experience
