A twenty minute hunt yielded my first half dime with the Equinox and my newest to date. I was curious so looked in the Red book and that was an eye opener, when they list the "s" mintage as unique I had to look twice 6 figures but mine was the plain and not as nice of grade, Maybe next time :surrender:

It banged out a solid 19 to 20 at about 5 inches.

Dick,
Thanks for letting me Plunder :detecting: your amazing permission!!

Congrats!, Nice Half dime. I found one years ago with my ML Safari & it read lower than
normal silver more like a penny.

Congratulations on the beautiful half dime!

If you don't mind me asking, what were your settings on the Equinox?

Jim I pretty much use stock field 1 with threshold at set at 5, not very glamorous but very effective!

Thank you for the information.

I know your pain...... come across a few of those 1916 dimes too without the D..... ugh. Makes you flip that coin over fast....... only to be disappointed immediately.

Excellent find! I have yet to find a half dime.
