I have been using the ace 250, and I have found a ton of stuff, but I am ready to step up the notch. My MXT is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, I can hardly wait. I feel like a kid at Christmas as I anxiously await!

Christmas in September. I like that idea. Hint hint Larry!!! :cheekkiss: I'm happy you made the leap into getting an MXT. You will love it. We've got a lot of wonderful people here on the MXT Forum that know a lot about the machine and LOTS of past posts about different subjects that are worth reading. I wish you the best with your new machine!!! Merry Christmas! :wiggle: Nancy

Your gonna love it! Looking forward to hearing and seeing your finds posted here! GOOD HUNTING!!!!:detecting:

I guess you won't be asking anymore Xterra 70 questions? I know the price was right on your MXT. I really think the 5.3 Eclipse would be a better coil for your trash hunting. Good luck on the new machine!

Quite a set up got a Ace 250 and there will be a learning curve too which is not a steep one either.Your coil choice is a good one for everyday hunting and a smaller one for the real trashy area, my wife and me use the little 4X6 shooter and just love that coil in trash.
I recommend to use the factory setting until you get to know the detector as with anything start off easy like a new car and once you get the feel of it than open it up and see what it can do. We use the gain no higher than 10 and only go into the plus numbers to check out weaker signals so the detector will run smoother and not chatter as much. We also run it in the auto trac mode for most areas and when you want to spend time checking out a iffy signal we have to switch out of it to lock so we don't track out a good target.
I think you will love it like many do as it is a very fun detector to use.

Good Luck

Rick
