Can Garretts find ladies small gold rings?

jabbo

New member
I have a Cortes and a Vaquero, both are great for gold jewelry. Am thinking of getting another playtoy, a used higher end Garrett, Fisher, or Whites. Are Garretts good for those smaller gold items? Any help is appreciated. Jabbo

I have tested at least 100 ladies gold rings with my GTI 2500. Various sizes. Various gold purity. From chunky 10 gram rings to very delicate less than a gram baby rings. The smallest rings usually indicate around foil on the target ID scale. Air tests (most ladies won't let you bury their engagement rings) lead me to believe that my 2500 detects tiny gold rings at about 4-6 inches in discriminate mode.
