Can cz-5 be used in surf detecting?

I purchased a cz-5 for land use,but wonder what the limits are for using in surf?

The coil is waterproof, however, the controlbox in NOT. You'll probably want to chest-mount the controlbox. Remember, even salt spray can work it's way into a CZ-5 and damage the circuitry.

You'll want to search in the SALT mode, and GB where you are going to hunt, either the dry sand, wet sand, or in the water. When you move from one zone to the other, you'll probably have to check the GB again and see if it needs adjusting, depending on your beach mineralization.

Thanks Allen,I just wasn't sure about it.Do you GB in the water using the bobbin method?
