Can coins be discriminated out on the AT Pro?

How has that worked for you.
I have thought about it but cant seem to have the attitude to try it.
Do you use the no coin mode for the beach only or for other spots.

I have done this on freshwater beaches and parks. Sometimes I just want to look for gold and living in Nebraska prospecting is not an option. It's a numbers game, the more mid tones you dig the more gold you get. You get more trash too but I find more nickles than most when I opt to hunt this way. Do you know if the AT Pro is capable of being set up this way?

Thanks

My post was not to impress my hunting styles onto other hunters. I was just hoping to gain some knowledge of this detector that I have been unable to find. I do agree with your statement though.

Kurt somebody will have you answer.
I asked because i have read of others hunting like that with good results.

I know the AT Pro has a notch , but dont know if it can notch hi coin.

Yes, of course Kurt. You can notch out any combination of the discrimination notches.:wiggle: Check out page 22 of the owner's manual. There's a link to owner's manual near the top of this Garrett forum. I often hunt this way while searching swim beaches and such. I agree with you, it's a good method. To each his own.

All of the Garrett machines that have notch discrimination can do this.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Yeah you can notch out anything. Just like if you're hunting for one specific item like a lost earring, you notch out everything but that item.
