can anyone tell me how old this bottle is? ball park? looks to be a wine or rum bottle the ribs are for a rack for aging? somebody let me know? thanks

I don't know what the heck it is but it is a nice one. I have never seen one like it. There are bottle forums.

Thanks for you help with the bottle. The stroy behind it is just that a story. I got this bottle from my Grandfather who was in WW II and while in France he and his company blew up some buildings. This bottle was in the wall of the buildings. Someone had put the bottle in the wall and sealed it with brick, or rock I should say. I assume the rings on the bottle were made for a rack for age? The bottom is corked, other than that there is no I.D. On the bottle what so ever. The building they blew up was an old castle type midevil I guess you could say. I have no clue as to what this bottle is. I would like to know what its worth. Maybe enough to get me a new detector??? LOL I doubt that but it is interesting. Thanks again for all your help
