Can anyone tell me about the Golden Sabre II?

Still one of the better coin and jewelry machines, regardless of age.
Not a depth demon, only hits down to about the 6 inch range. Using the Shadow 9 inch coil on it will get you a little more depth and so will adding an external manual ground balance but all that is not really necessary, just adds to the GS,s depth a little.
Coupled to the 7 inch concentric coil, the sabre will find coins in trashy areas that many detectors have left behind. Really good in trashy stuff.
Good modulated audio. Deeper coins sound deeper, shallow stuff sounds shallow, etc.
The pre-set notch width is set to eliminate most type of tabs and works well if set correctly but the best way to use the GS is to turn off the notch and use the notch adjustment knob to set the point where the tones change from low to high tone. I set mine to break from low to high just at the ringtab range and that helps me identify them pesky critters at my best coin site which is loaded with them. But you can adjust the tone break point to anywhere in the discrimination range.

email Heidi@tesoro.com, and she will send you out one, and a product test report too.
