Can anyone recommend a coil larger than 13" for the Etrac

And can you comment from experience whether it's worth the extra weight as far as depth goes?

I have used the WOT on several occasions when I was looking for a big depth advantage - like the pits in the mud volleyball tournament. I measured 13 inches on a nickel. Probably wouldn't have dug it, but I thought there was a good chance it was a gold ring. It's a beast to swing, but my swingy-thingy made it much more bearable. I tried it at an old baseball field and got several signals which had maxed out the depth meter, but gave up at about 8 inches where the soil became harder than adobe.

Hope that helps!

WOT is a great coil, easy to pinpoint with and capable of deep finds. Unfortunately, it's heavy. I use it to clean up a site after hunting with my smaller coils.

Pinpointing is very good. I have used the WOT or "Wonderful Orange Thing" for years. I have found most of my best coins with this head, and that's because it goes deeper where the old coins are. I also like the fact that it covers more area and I can leave the sensitivity in Auto and run it in 2 tone Ferris..

I have had good luck with my NEL 15 inch attack coil. I have gotten coins to 14 inches with it and can swing it without a harness for a couple hours.

...and here I was just sure that WOT meant "WEIGHTY Orange Thing"!!!
