I use my sierra madre exclusively with a 25" coil. I am having trouble maintaining a threshold. It comes and it goes depending on what soil conditions are like. I can "reset" the detector by clicking the toggle which I have been doing. The problem with that is that it seems to take the detector a few seconds to adjust before the threshold kicks in. After a few seconds, I lose it again. I have owned a number of different ula-3/sierra madre detectors in the past, and they all do the same thing, so I am pretty sure it is not just my particular detector with this problem. Does this detector have a SAT? Can one be made with an adjustable "pot" to speed up or slow down? Also any ideas about mods to this particular detector with large coil would be appreciated. I am looking for large, deep buried objects in all kinds of terrain and especially in alot of tall, wet grass.
