This small glass has 6 sides with 3 sides grooved, question what is it? and is there any age to it, or is is very modern.

Bottom says 6 and 2 ? thank-you in advance

I have found poison glass with grooved edges, but they were marked poison?
 
I believe you are on the right track. It looks like a poison to me. They usually put ribs on them so you can feel it in the dark and not accidently take it instead of your intended medication.
