can anyone help me with audio 1

Hi Todd,
Audio 1 is quite busy, of course scan some coins and other stuff in your yard and get used to what it is telling you, also vary your depth and listen to what the sounds are even on deeper ones. Also scan some iron, the main diff. in normal and audio 1 is that audio 1 as long as the coil is over the object it will give a lasting signal and that is the diff. If you have futher particular questions, post them and I will give a response.HH

My experience and can only talk for ferrous sounds when in Audio1

If the blend is a mix of many tones far away on the scale, probably trash if not very deep and then u will have a nice smooth sound on good metal. A whispering tinnnggelliiing on deep silver.

A shallow coin or ring or any round object of genuine pure metal alloy will not give any warbling just a pure and stable tone.

Even a somewhat bulked screwcap ( or on edge) will warble and can more easily be recognized by that in comparizon to a coin or gold ring in the same area.

That warbling sound versus stable is the true power of audio1 to disc out shallow nonferrous trash.

The crosshair tend to stay put at the correct spot on the screen if it is a good find ( or metal shape ) or atleast stay in the correct area.

Audio1 and ferrous is quite good together.

I only use audio 1 on the less busy sites as i have the same problem as you - making sense of the signalsin audio 1 on a busy site is hard to say the least. On sites with less trash audio 1 is an absolute must have. It sounds more than a bit like a bell been struck on deep coins!! cool.......

100% of the time. I know I am in the minority but for me it does well in trash also. The main thing to do is turn down the volume when using audio 1 as the busy-ness of it can overload but at a reduced volume it really works. I think anyone who is not quite content with normal should give audio 1 a try for a week or 2 and see how it works. Nice alternative to normal.

Then change settings to something completely different , eg change from conductive to ferrous tones ,change from fast to deep, change threshold tone , limits , change the settings and go over the site you thought was cleared out again and i guarantee that you will find hundreds of missed targets. try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I played around with audio 1 and came back to normal. I have no doubt it may work well for many but would offer this advise. Find out what works for you and stick to it. Changing back and forth with this changeable facet can really affect your perception of targets and stick to what works for you...

thankyou all for your advice, Ive been experimenting some, but I keep getting flustered and swiching back to normal. I've been dolg that one can acheive greater depth and better target ID in audio one,is this true? why do you all use it? Maby I need to be taking baby steps to learn this thing. Any advice on how to set up the detector, and what techniques to employ? I'm going to repost this so it gets noticed.
Thanks again fellas

Todd
