Can anyone help ID this bullet, It was found at Brandy Rock in Culpeper VA!

It looks like some type of enfied. It has a very shallow base and the nose is very blunt (maybe a nose cast???) and it has a flare outward at the base, I tried to take pictures that will show the base if you look closley you can see. It does not appear to be carved. I am no bullet expert but it looks like a MM#226 .577 cal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Good find!!

enfield that someone hase drove the base directly on top of another bullets nose. Maybe when it was hit with a hammer on the nose is what caused the flat or blunt tip and flaired the base. Just a guess since it isn't a fired specimen.

did not a few sharpshooters hammer there round to improve there accuracy? maybe you found an unfired example?
