It's too big. Flimsy. Sell it and use that cash to buy a Garrett Propointer. If it's a new one that came with a detector package it will bring about $50 on ebay.

Don't know a thing about the V4.You'll probably get a few opinions to your post. For me, if Sun-Ray makes a pinpointer for your machine, buy it. If not , you can't go wrong with the Garrett

another vote for the Garrett Pro Pointer, it is built tough and works great.

It is bulky and the shaft can break if forced too hard. I would get about 2" depth with mine. I got a Garrett propointer and like it much better. If it is all you have or can afford it does work. I would not give over $40 for one. The Garrett tells you where the target is, the V-4 tells you there is a target. If you can afford the Garrett it wins hands down.

I have to join in with the crowd on this one, I wouldn't trade my Garrett Propointer for any other pinpointer. I don't like any extra weight on my detectors so Sunray's are out for me even though they do work well.

I've got the V2 pinpointer and broke the pointer tip, the attachment point is way way way way to weak, it has an annoying tuning nob, its to bulky, the pointer shaft is way to Fu***** long, mine did not come with a belt holster, i could go on and on. I got the pro pointer a couple of months ago, it is far superior in so many ways. BK
