Well I have only had my Vaquero for a short while. I will say this, it is very deep. I have found it to find very small items down at 6-8". I found a silver quarter down a good 7" along with a buffalo nickle. It hit like it was on top of the ground.

I find pinpointing easy to do by just X'n a target. The actual pinpoint button I use more often to verify a target. The Vaquero is super light and easy to swing all day long.

It hits real good on coins as I mentioned. It also hits hard on jewelry. I found the back of an earing down about 5" in the woodchips at a tot lot. Man that thing was tiny, but sounded very good.

I like mine a bunch. It is a keeper, Beale.

Good machine - you'll like it.
