Can Anybody Weigh Your Arm Cup? (Stock Or Heavy Duty Replacement)

I'm looking to drop some weight on my Sovereign GT and have already replaced the shaft with a custom upper one and a Whites Tall Man carbon coil rod as the lower one to drop almost 6oz. I'll be dropping weight in other areas as well and one thing I'd like to replace is the arm cup. It's 8.8 oz (over half a pound!) and way over kill in strength as much of what Minelab does in hardware. The replacement Whites "heavy duty" arm cup is only $10 and yet still looks lighter than the GT's, but I'd like to know for sure before ordering one. If anybody has either the stock or this heavy duty replacement they can throw on a scale I'd like to hear what it weighs. I figure 4 or 5 ounces at the most by the looks of it. Include the arm strap when weighing it. Thanks!

By the way, a replacement lower rod for the GT from Minelab is like over $30, so replacing that with the lighter Whites was a win/win in price as well.

I have a whites rainbow xlt, i tried weighing the arm cup on my fish scale which is digital its so light it didn;t register.I would guess it weghs 2 ounces if even that .Thats with pads and arm band. The arm cup is so light it dosen't even count weight wise.I can't imagine your arm cup being that heavy to make a difference.Does this help?:surprised:

Yea, thanks. 8.8oz on the stock GT armcup is half a pound. Even if I only drop 3 or 4 oz with a Whites cup every little bit adds up, as I'm shaving weight in numerous other areas as well. Crunching the numbers in my head with the various mods I have in mind I think I can drop about one and one half pound off the weight of a stock GT. At least 20 oz for sure if not that.
