They are good coils. Search the posts there are many posts on the subject. There are 3 posts on this page alone. You need to tell us what type of hunting you need the coil for. Rob
better pinpoint better sound can really hear different sound between trash and coins good depth, run smooth crank it up in certain areas and get better depth not to much masking when close to other objects.http://www.findmall.com/read.php?25,548033,548033#msg-548033.My first week with ex coil compare to 4x6 mini shooter by whites.Like ex better.Dont know of any cons except i want another one different size.
I use the 4.5"x7" and 5" EXcelerator coils on an M6 and find them to be excellent performers.
The 5" Excelerator is my favorite for extreme trash conditions with great target separation, good depth, and reminds of the 350 Snooper coil used on an IDX Pro.
The 4.5"x7" EXcelerator seems to get comparable depth to the 5.3 Eclipse at many areas i hunt with a little more coverage. No problems with GB or stability. HH Bill
Hi Gordon. I have used and tested Excelerator coils for a number of years and I like them. I am currently testing the 10x12 SEF Excelerator coil and I really like hunting with this wierd looking coil.. I have yet to use it relic hunting but I think it will get some nice depth in that arena and I can't wait to give it a run in an area that I do my relic hunting in. I also have the 10x14 DD, 8" DD and the 6" DD and my wife uses the 4.5x7 DD. If you wonder if I use them all, I do, just some more than others. They are all good quality coils and I can't for the life of me think of any cons to pass on to you about these coils. I don't know what kind of hunting you like to do, but you can find an excelerator coil to suit most types of hunting. Browse thru the past posts and you will find that there are also others who use the Excelerator coils. If I can help you out further let me know. HH Dennis in Idaho
