Me and a buddy were doing some farm field hunting yesterday and he dug the two buttons shown here. I know the Great Seal button but what is the button with the script "P" on it?

Here are some pics, for what you can make out. The backmarks are poor. Any help appreciated!

Sorry didnt have a chance to finish, recruiting in Portsmouth had to go real quick , nice button definitely a police button. lol
 
Recruiting? Like in ARMY recruiting?? So they let you back in??? :lol:

Good for you. Shouldn't you be over in Iraq sending as many Jihadists as possible to their final reward? That would be more fun than recruiting, I would think. :shrug:
 
Well good luck over there. Hopefully you will get there, if the Demoncrats aren't successful in derailing the whole thing before you get the chance to "git 'er dun". Keep your head down and your guard up!
 
Hey Mike, All the buttons I find look like yours. How do these guys come up with these new look buttons? Here are a few of my last hunts. The cross was different, one photo is the back side. Has anyone seen one before?

As you know, I've been unable to post lately. Something got messed up with my registration. I had to have Find's Treasure Forums send me a new password. Hopefully it will work.

I wanted to respond to Karl about his silver quarter and buttons (posted on the Quattro forum earlier this week), but I couldn't post.

Yeah, I hear ya man. It's the soil, pretty much. All the LC's and Indians around here usually come up nasty too, like most of the buttons. Once in a while you get lucky and get a nice one...not like up north and out west, where they seem to dig up some awesome looking buttons and Indians and LC's with copper-color still visible. That NEVER happens around here. I dream...
