can any one tell me what avrg depth you are finding coins at with tha 70

Average depends on what you search for and where.

The 70 can correctly ID a coin at 8 or more, have been below 10 many times and once or twice even deeper.

thanks ive trying to learn the machine what mode do you use most for coins an maybee clue my in on the settings

If you take a look at the FAQFAQ section above, you will find several articles with settings that some use. Personally, in my moderately mineralized soil, I use all metal, 4 tones, AutoNC, AutoGB (with one or two settings more positive) and keep the sensitivity as high as I can with stability. If I don't want to listen to the low tones of ferrous targets, I chose a Pattern and modify it to only accept the targets I want to dig. If the FAQFAQ doesnt' provide the information you need, you can do a search of this site and find almost anything you can imagine about hunting with the X-Terras. Don't hesitate to ask questions. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks on this forum. HH Randy

thanks ive found alot of coins but i feel im missing alot i found 3 silver 25 cent and a 55 5cent in the same hole i know its here guess i gotta dig more

I was findin multiple coins in my holes, weird readings, quarters and zincs in same hole. 4 pennies and nickle, 2 dimes a penny and nickle, ya just gotta see whatall is there, last spring 5 quarters in same hole, showed overload, DIGIT

I have had that happen to me multiple times. Not a beer can. Also I thought the disappearing target would go away with a single frequency compared to my Excal and Quattro. Not so. Good signal that disappears, dig until you get the target. BTW, have gotten around a foot and slightly deeper on the beach with coins with the 5X10, but have to dig a wimpy response. Love the detector.

Take multiple coins of the same type and stack them like in a roll.

Bring them infront of your Visual ID detector with the edge of the roll facing the coil, not the top or bottom.

Multiple targets do play tricks with visual ID, sometimes to the point of discriminating them out as foil or even iron.

Would you dig a roll of coins??
