I have a low tune Cibola and I'm not use to the "Low tone" I used a Nautilus
and the low tone is a iron sound, anyone know how to change this?

Tesoro can change your Cibola to "high tone".---I stopped in the Tesoro plant & had them do a high tone adjustment on my Vaquero once.--It only took them a few minutes & I think the charge was $15.--James Gifford himself came out to their office where I was waiting to make sure I liked the tone after the change, which I liked much better..--It's either the high tone adjustment or the tone you have (standard tone)--there is no adjustment in between-it has to be one or the other.---You can send it in to them-I think they have a fast turn around time.-------Del

As already stated - when I bought a Cibola from local dealer, I was told that if I wanted the high tone, he could send in the detector and the factory charge at the time for the high tone feature was 15.00

I've had high and low tone, personally prefer the high, I can hear well, the high tone is just more "crisp" to me.

For me, it was just preferring the high tone over the "standard tone".---As far as advantage-I don't know that there is an advantage (one tone over the other).---As far as hearing the tones (again, one tone over the other)-don"t think that hearing ability (or lack of) would be a factor either.--On the tone change of this particular detector, most people should be able to hear either tone just fine.-----So what it boils down to, I guess, is like the man said-- "personal preference". ;) --------Regards, Del

My Bandido has a higher tone then my Vaquero. And for some reason I like the Bandido better. Hmmmm.
I think I might know why now.

this must be your wake up time?

So i got a low tone vaquero, get a koss amp it will change your tone!

:csflag:You can change tones and adjust volume with koss sound amp and plug in light weight head phones-bass-treble-mid range-turn vol up down.It does use 2 AAA bats,so what get rechargeables then-who gives a rats azz!
