can a cz6 be converted.....

to a cz6a? what are the differences in circuitry? what are the differences in coils/ coil wires?

6A has a different head phone jack (no pig tail) and 5 pin coil connector just like the rest of the CZ's (except the hard wired CZ20 / 21) rather than the 4 pin on the CZ6. At one time I had the 5 pin connector part numbers but seem to have lost the references I had to the part numbers.
Cheers,
tvr

I would say yes the CZ6 can be converted to a CZ6A... as I believe they have been in the past.

The question should be... is it worth the expense to covert a CZ6 to a CZ6A or just use the CZ6 the way it is and enjoy it?

thanks guys!

Having used a CZ6 for 15 years and my son a CZ6A I really can't tell much difference in operation. If the CZ6 is in good operating condition I would just leave it alone.
They are both great machines, with great depth, have very good separation of targets, and very quick recovery between targets.

Can't go wrong with either one of them. Rick IL
