Camping Hunt

Paulette and I just came back from a great detecting - camping weekend with Nancy and Larry. We got out to hunt Friday and Sunday morning. Saturday was a rain out. On Friday I got 64 quarters. It was a great day for me but I came in second to Larry. Larry had more in the first day then I got in both days. Nancy got out a little on Sunday and my 28 quarters that day were only good for third place. You have to see the quarters they found. I'll let Nancy show you them and give the quarter count. Don't let Rob fool you...he did great. Today he was getting the feel of Larry's V-3. The guys left early today for the field. Paulette and I met up with the boys later on and I had my BigFoot on and away I went. I didn't last as long as the guys, but I sure had fun plucking quarters out of the ground. With Robs 92 quarters, my 30 quarters and Larry's 186 quarters....that's 308 quarters which total of $77. The guys are the real Quarter Kings. That's not counting the halves, dimes, nickels and pennies. I wish you all could have a weekend like we had. It was very relaxing, enjoyable, and downright priceless. Way to go you four. sound like a great week end. Never seen or heard of that many quarters coming out of one place. I have hunted an area that had over a hundred wheat Penny's and always figured it was a penny toss for it was at a old sportsman's club that dated back into the forty's but that many quarters is just plan awesome. Sounds like a place to wear out your knee pads
