campaign pin?

I found this pin in an area where the 9th and 10th Cavalry were camped along the Mexican border circa around 1915 to 1925. Most of the these soldiers were veterans that served from the Spanish American war Campaign. I think it might be a Campaign pin from the Spanish war, can anyone confirm that...if not...whatzit? Thanks much. Marc/Tucson:shrug:

I found my own ID!!!!! its a crest pin....I was close!!...it was from the 9th cavalry...at least I had that right. This one on ebay is a copy (replica) of the original....any comments?
