I didn't even ask, 'cause I knew what the answer would be.

Some little pickers in lower left, for the price of admission & entertainment value....not bad.

Hope you had a pleasant vacation. But it is good have you back amongst us. Seeded pans you say? :surprised: Dag-nab-it! HH Randy

Thanks Randy,

Went West and considered trying to get out to Rye Patch but it just wasn't in the cards, even though I was in the Reno area for a bit. Yes the pans were pre-filled with material and everyone comes out a winner. Considering gold is~$800USD, the $8 admission price, including vial and a few flakes wasn't bad. Learned that because of the gold price a new surface pit mine has been opened down towards Carson City and they are turning a hill into a hole. With all the ghost towns around I was chomping at the bit, but there just wasn't any time. If I had a month's time and was by myself I'd love to go out and tempt the rattlesnakes, even if I didn't find much.

So how's that review of the F5 coming?:poke::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I did some panning a few years back near the NE entrance to Yellowstone. Now before some of you ask, no, I was not on Federal ground. It was "downstream" from a location that a Canadian Company was developing for a gold mining operation. I figured if someone was willing to invest millions of dollars in a gold mine, there is surely gold in the area. It was a beautiful fall day, with about an inch of fresh snow on the ground. And I did pan a bit of gold. But my venture was stopped short by a show of displeasure from of the locals. Seems ol Griz just didn't like me near his favorite berry patch. If I can find some of the pics I took, I'll post them up. HH Randy

Sounds like you and the family had a good summer vacationing out west. Good to see you back.

So much to detect, so little time. I'm glad to hear you had a safe vacation. I've got a few more days in Idaho before I head back to Arizona. Still looking for that fence post cache.

Good hunting, John K

Thanks, got over to the South Rim & Hoover in your state, but once again on a schedule. Hope you have good luck up North.
