Camera Problems

OK, My trusty Nikon Coolpix 775 has decided to give me some problems. Last week the Flash stopped working, although the preflash works. That bothered me but at least the camera was still very functional for my main purpose of photographing coins/buttons and artifacts in Macro at home. Well today I took it in the field and my son made a nice find and I took the Nikon out and the camera would not open when the power switch was turned on. Just a clicking noise and finally a System Error message.
I tried new battery and card and prayers, but it really has a problem, probably two problems, flash inoperative and lens not opening on startup.
So, I need a recommendation, do I send it to Nikon for repair, a authorized dealer, or any Camera Shop. I bought it at a Ritz camera store.
Thanks Don

After looking over their website, I agree it is probably best for me to send it to them. Thanks. Don
