Here are most of my cameras from my collection....i tried to get the bulbs and flash attachment for them..some of them were bought at a yard sale from a person closing down their mom and pop shop..others from thrift stores (i rescued them) and others from where my wife is from...they had a local guy that

had a shop forever and i caught the tail end of the sale....hope the pictures are big enough too see details....or i can take pictures of any individual camera if anyone wants to see close ups...

on the right picture....my dad owned a camera exactly like that one...the second camera from the left...(greyish) i dont know what he did with it but when i found that one, i bought it...

I always wanted a large format camera to add to my collection but im glad i didnt find/buy one due to little people at home tripping over tripods etc.

Kelly im sure you recognize the C-3 camera..i also have a telephoto lens as well as color filters for it

Im sure they are all functional cameras...but i ll admit as not testing all of them...just a couple

Hope you like my collection..

Say, some of the flash bulbs are super large. Do you display these cameras in your home? Do you also collect camera gear like flash units, old gadget bags, and etc? I think this is a neat hobby. Thanks for sharing it with the Forum. Kelley (Texas) :)

THank you....yes i have them out..probably in too small a cabinet...i have some extra bulbs and flash units but im not actively looking for them anymore.....the bags? nah ...that does not interest me...thank you for looking....Im sure you saw the argus C-3 you mentioned earlier ...
When i bought the twin lens camera i didnt know that they made them with an adaptor that would allow the use of 35mm film...

the one that he had was solid black. We seldom go to garage sales anymore, but our neighborhood has a big one every fall and I will be curious if any old cameras will be for sale. Kelley (Texas) :)

out west...some people have yard sales and swap meets every week....im not happy about that...our family has an annual yard sale..

about the camera i was going for the model....did you notice the light meter on top?

My father's camera did not have a meter. Film boxes had a scale on the back that gave the settings for sunny, cloudy days. I have thought about that camera all evening, wonder what ever became of it. The last time I saw that camera was when he sold the farm and moved to Portland, Texas just north of Corpus Christi, Texas. Most of his pictures were slides and he would use a Kodak slide projector and a white sheet pinned to the wall for a screen. Your collection is bringing back some good memories. Kelley (Texas) :)

Your dad did slides? he was a millenium ahead of the general public. He was HIGH tech !!! i mean it
