Came Back to Tesoro

Left Tesoro in a huff over perceived defects in a unit I had bought. I couldn't stay away though. No other detector brand felt right anyway.

See what you missed. I dont even know how many years I used Tesoros. I have tried some high dollar detectors o see if I needed an upgrade. I am glad I never sold my Tesoros. Just did not like some of the music some of them other things played... KEN from Ind.

I never left. Some folk tend to misconstrue constructive criticism, with hating. Different machines tend to excel at different tasks or locations. This has never been an issue for me.

Yeah, but I was just about to get a Golden.….....:sadwalk:

Well for whatever reason you left, welcome back. We all are tempted with technology from other brands sometimes but you can't beat tesoro for light weight and great performance plus they are well made. Tesoro will always be my favorite brand period. Yes I do use others too but that does not mean Tesoro goes on the back burner. Good Luck

Welcome back! I did the same thing mostly trying different vdi, multi-tone machines only to realize I had more fun with the Cibola and Vaquero I had tried as my 3rd & 4th detectors at the same time.

Must admit i am going against the grain with this one, although i own 3 mint condition Tesoro based machines they are never used and just sat in the workshop gather dust, why i ever bought them i am not really sure, wont aprt with them and they may be the best machines for my trashy sites, but not even used the Silver Sabre 11 or Laser B3 which are in total mint condition and a selection of coils as well.

They appear to be mouch more popular across the pond than in the UK for some reason, although the old detectorist still own them they dont use them these days, not sure if we see them as old technology and out dated, but that is how we see them anyway.

Good reliable workhorse machine i guess but with few users in the UK.

they are old tech, so is most everything we use today just in a new package guess the multi's are as new as it gets but even that's been around 15 years so until there is some real new tech we are all using old tech just some gives more info and has some different features.

they probably have tech that's new but that will put them out of business after all they are in the money making game the tech is out there to read % values of metal but that's the end game for them hey !!

They're famous for their quick response and ability to work in iron- infested sites. Nowadays, they are being replaced by companies who caught on and have added features to compliment these attributes. Old school is nice, but in some areas features make a huge difference. Who'd ever thunk a few years ago you could hear trash AND good targets with their respectable tones at the same time? Sure they can find as much stuff, but some of us only have just so much time in the day This is supposed to be fun, and some days it's more fun with my Compadre, and other sites would have me cussin'!.

I like the idea of an analog machine designed to outperform computer machines. Very cool if it can.

The signals on a Tesoro will be uniform on a trash/treasure target causing them to have a better chance to be recovered.

Yup ! I have tried so many detectors just look at my signature of past machines. I'm pretty sure I have got my last detector that I will ever get (due to health issues) I just can't swing em anymore. So I got my hands on a beautiful Tesoro Silver Sabre µMax and yes its a first never had one LOL. Unfortunately its sitting in my closet unused still sine I got it . Yup there is something about Tesoro that keeps me going bact to one.

Sorry to hear about your health issues, I pray you make a recovery and can get to use the SS one day. You have tried a lot of different detectors and come back to buying an older Tesoro, that's saying something. I started off with a few bounty hunter models and tried a few of the newer digital machines but one day was reading about the Tesoro Vaquero and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did since it has been Tesoro now for me. The simplicity and fundamental performance is there and I just have a lot more fun using them.
