Came across this by accident

I was out detecting today and found a small bungee cord. I thought maybe I could attach it to my belt and then to the detector to help with the weight. So I look down and the detector and low and behold there is a place to hook the cord up to the detector. I tried it out for a few minutes and it really did seem to help reduce the weight. With the hook turned the other way it would fall of when I lifted the detector. Seems like it would be a quick easy way to take some of the weight off your arm.

i never even noticed that on mine. good idea. it might come in handy in the furture when we have larger coils for the 3030.

Somewhere I saw a pic where someone ran a a plastic tie through those holes and around the handle then another through that tie so he could attach a bungee cord to a shoulder strap without scratching up the CTX.

Thateye is a good place for a tether to keep your 3030 from drifting away when you're wqter hunting.

Hi Folks

I was checking my webstats and noticed my page had some traffic from this forum; regarding the landscaping strap "Trimmer Assist" for use with metal detectors. Of course I invented this strap for use with string trimmers, but later found it was useful for blowers and edgers as well. I am glad to hear that some of you have found it useful for your metal detectors as well.

Since you guys alerted me to that fact; I decided to make a special page for this application, and offered a discount off my retail price just for you. So if you are interested, please take advantage of the special page I made for you - so you can get the discount. http://www.trimmerassist.net/TAMetal

And thanks again for the tip.
