Detected a local school yesterday. I have been detecting this school for years and never fails to disappoint me. When I came Home I was separating the quarter. I noticed one was a little larger. Upon checking it closely I noticed it was a foreign coin. I cleaned it off and I noticed the date was 1808:clapping:. The coin also said East India Company. I did a google and found out the coin was worth anywhere from $10.00 to $65.00. Depending what site you wanted to believe. Apparently there wasn't many until 1985 when a sunken ship was discovered and on board was thousand's of these coins in barrels, cased in wax. Do a google for an interesting read.
