Cam Lock on EXP II shaft won't grab

BigTony

Need help on tightening or something to make the cam lock hold the shaft.
I know I can buy another one but - has anyone had to repair the cam lock on one of these EXP shafts?

The red rubber part that grips the shaft should have a metal plate glued into it. Sometimes the glue comes loose and this plate falls out. I had cut a new aluminum plate for mine and used some weather strip cement to glue it info place.
Don't remember how thick it was. Will try and look when I get a chance.

Hello Jeff, yeah I know what you mean. The red rubber moves but the plate below it doesn't.

Thanks for the help.

On this one it is reveresed, red rubber then the plate then the shaft....no wonder why it stopped working
