Calling on all Tesoro owners

Well-known member
Are Tesoros driving you nuts?
Are they destroying your family relationship?
Are they running rampant around the house?
Are they cooped up in the house with nothing to do?
Do you lock them up in closets to get some peace of mind?
Can you no longer afford to feed or care for them?
Do they always bark at you when you turn them on asking them do do something?
Do they constantly talk back with useless chatter to annoy you?
Are you headed for a Tesoro breakdown?

You need to get rid of those delinquent Tesoro detectors.

I have just opened up a home/shelter for the unwanted Tesoro detectors where they will be cared for.
They will have their own cage, fed a good grade of alkaline batteries and be taken for regular walks.
We have a wonderful test garden......................woods and grassy golf course where they can play.
We will take your unwanted, young, old, delinquent Tesoro. Those those troublesome detectors, we have an
excellent source of medical help................So hurry while there's still room, ship your Tesoro now, just get rid of it.
Maybe tough parting with your Tesoro.....just do it.......................no questions asked. We always accept charitable donations of
parts, accessories, battery food............to keep this shelter going.

haha. no, mine has been good. in hibernation now until april. hopefully sooner. i only have one, so its not to much to handle.

Are you insane???---You're asking us to ship off one (or more) of our FAMILY MEMBERS to an (relatively) unknown shelter??------Well---let me think about it!------Right now, the way I'm handling it----if any of 'em gets out of hand---I just yank the battery(s) out of them & make em go stand in the corner for a good while--usually straightens them right up!------I gotta admit though--it does sound like you have started a fine home/shelter for delinquent Tesoros.-----I'll be in touch if it just flat out gets to where I can no longer cope!:crylol:;)

my tesoroes are well behaved.

My Vaquero has been associating with detectors of other brands , I am thinking arranging an intervention . Does that make me a Bigot ?

Nice try, let us know how it turns out. You are kind and generous. If you have trouble you can send a few this way.

There must be snow on the ground or the ground is frozen and you have cabin fever or detecting withdrawal.
I will keep my light 9 volt friend warm this winter by the wood stove. He does not mind as he is not alone but has headphones hanging from the arm support.
Its nice to have some down time after a busy season of going back and forth, and traveling in a dark trunk that is hits temps of more than a hundred degrees.
Oh I will get out a few times during the winter maybe to a salt water beach after a storm but I am not ready for sitting around with old detectors that are long in the coil and dreaming of the old glory days before the start of the cashless society.

Minas man

I was thinking a while back of all the possible "closet queen" detectors (all brands) that people have out there and don't really realize it. They are stuffed away in closets, storage units, garages and sadly forgotten. Also some people throw out some unbelievable stuff that they themselves consider junk or don't want to mess with getting rid of it...another possible sad end for a vintage detector.

That is a fact ! My Brother in law bought a real nice Toltec 2 for $5 and a friend of mine bought a decent Stingray 1 for $5 also both from garage sales . I've run into some good deals but never like those .

Mine just had new hip and knee replacements and colonoscopy and prostate exams. All checked out excellent with no problems

3 meals a day and routine walks and for fun I'll throw them a blue alkaline to get rid of stress relief. LOL:thumbup:

It's getting cold here. I've started playing with the detector in my kitchen. I have various sacks of stuff that I use. For example, I'll lay a square nail over a silver dime to see how it reacts. I realize this is non-scientific due to EMI's, other metal in the house, and a playful cat. I tried the 4" coil on my head and got a signal. I have no idea what it is. Could be my aura? I'll wait until I get an x-ray model I guess for that one. :surprised:

Hard to kick out the oldsters.......when they start repeating the same nonsense about zincolns and you get tired of seeing them................
I am working on the Fountain of Youthism, a bit of brain work, replacement of parts, shock therapy, gold and silver injections.
