California silver.....two Barbers and Merc

This was actually a few weeks ago and was the second weekend of great detecting for me. This was at a turn of the century park and happened to hold a few oldies. The first weekend I pulled my first Barber dime ever and had also finally got my first Mercury dime. I ended the day with 5 Mercs, 1 Barber and a few early Wheats. My friend got an additional 3 Mercs and was also his best day.

The next weekend, I hit the same area of the park again and within a few minutes another buddy of mine pulled a Barber to start the day. It was only about 10 min later that I also pulled a Barber of my own (only my second ever). Another 10 min and I pulled a Merc. As you can see, the soil isn't too kind to our Barbers. Both of my Barbers have severe pitting that I assume is from heavy fertilizer use at the park.
