California Gold locations.

California has produced a vast number of large nuggets. The list that follows only includes five counties, it is offered as an indication of what you could find. Any nugget listed would sell for at least a quarter of a million dollars and the largest ones would be worth several million dollars on today's specimen gold market. Note: weight is given in troy pounds, not troy ounces.

AMADOR COUNTY
25 Ib. nugget

WOW!! any idea when any of the most recent ones were found? thanks for the post PhilBarnes, thats the stuff that keeps things interesting.

Finding a 195 lb'er would not be a bad thing. That would pay for my new MD and then some. Maybe I'd throw in a Porsche 911 GT2 with a sexy lady pin stripe holding a metal detector down the side
