Calif Flooding will be Great for GoldNuggetts in Spring!

With the Flooding of Northern Calif I am glad I will be up there in the early Summer for a week.
Think there will be many Nugetts to pick from....
Will have to get a Garrett GTI2500 or DFX before June....JT

Yeah all the high water should uncover a few. Are you going to hit the Feather/American/Yuba Rivers area?

Bill

Yubaaaaa yea babyyyyyy,
I am going North from Tahoe about 45 mins north of Rt80 and then head west for about 45-60 mins along the river...
Next to a camp ground theres a good spot.
I just stoped and saw a campground and saw a Nugett when i went into the small river I almost fell and might of screwed my back(lucky i did not fall}but I lost the nugget loll.
With all this rain there should be lots of pickings for small nugetts with a metal detector?1st week of July when I get there and hope theres some nuggets.JT

You might check out the dredge tailings along the rivers. Quite a few nuggets have been found in those as the old dredges kicked out all the small stuff. Also keep an eye out for platinum. Back in the gold rush days it was nearly worthless and the miners threw it away.

Bill

Thanks will keep that in mind..I was just hoping maybe i will find a nugett or 2 with a detector.I think my chances are good this year with the storm that came....JT

Yeah you could get lucky but remember there are a slew of other nuggetshooters with the same idea. The gal whose big nuggets I posted awhile back hunts up there. She drives all the way up from San Bernardino and she is a real serious nuggetshooter and has won several awards for her prowess. She was trained by my buddy, Jim Straight, who is one of the best. Soon as I look it up I'll give you the URL of a nuggetshooter forum where all the big boys hang out.

Bill

Hummmmm hope i don't run into any other people with Detectors?
With soooooo much area off of the Highway near the river I am sure
not many if any people have hit all the areas north of tahoe...JT

You'd be surprised how many nuggetshooters and weekend prospectors are out there - especially in the Mother Lode country.
