I do not know what Netherlands laws are on treasure finds but I know in the UK they have to give you it's relative value according to what they say it is worth. I had posted a story about some guys finding some caches and it was always mentioned that they got way below a fair value for the finds.

You would also think that these archeologists would learn how to swing a MD by now. We're the ones collectively making finds that open the door for them to further investigate an area and their the ones as a whole that view our sport with contempt. It's a lot easier going into a place with a MD seeing if there has ever been any preceding activity in years past then taking a shovel!
