Cabin Fever Trivia How many detectors have you owned, and how many do you currently have??

Ive owned about 60 detectors and have four detectors at this point CZ5,1236X,BH IB300,1280X,and Sea Hunter 2. Sorry currently five.

God! That's a relief! I thought I must be freakishly susceptible to the mercenary wiles of manufacturer sales pitches, but compared to you I may be fairly reasonable. In the past, I've only had about 11. One of those is carried over to the current stable - a Compass Gold Scanner Pro. I could maybe justify one more, but I find the battery of six others that has "moved in" are all Interesting in some way and I hate to send any of them packing as I should! So - I'm feeding an XL Pro, MXT, CZ-3D, ID Edge, Ace 250, and an orphan CZ-5 in addition to the GSP. The CZ-5 is pretty redundant to the 3D, so it will probably go, but which of the others could I possibly spare!?

Silvernail,What got me started Jack in Texas had sixteen detectors. The brlliant idea I had if I found a good deal on a used detector I could use the detector and if it didn't workout sell it and recoup my money. This was like a retarded newphew playing with a chemistry set.Bottom line I made a little money and lost a lot.But like one of my(a local dealer) buddies said"boy Ron you sure have had a lot of metal detectors you should submitt field test reports".But as we have all learned what works for one hunter may not work for another.I have got to the point its got to be a very good deal before I buy another detector.(If I buy your detector it sold too low.

Hey Ron: Correct I do have a bunch of detectors. My problem is I don't hunt that much and I don't really know which ones I have are the best. I have made my mind up I am going to really try them out and then you may see a bunch of detectors for sale. I stopped counting the detectors I have had when I reached forty detectors. I look at all my detectors and I really feel guilty sometimes. But then I worked and paid for them all. I also have six guitars-four amplifiers-three multitrack recorders-eighteen rod and reels and my wife and I have five vehicles. I keep telling myself I am going to have a huge garage sale someday.

Jack, someone has to keep these dealer's in business, and I guess we have more tha done our fair share.

Tested (over a period) 250, bought going on 40, still have Deepstar P.I., Goldquest SS, modified Sovereign, XLT, modified Fieldmaster, Treasure Baron + modules, Troy X3 & 5, XP 200, XP Goldmaxx, Altek Quad Mode and several of the old classic machines Fisher 555D, Arado,Compass, Gold Mountain 1650 etc.
Most machines have at least two coils + lower shafts for quick coil changes.
Only ever paid for the firsat machine, a B.F.O. From then on finds paid for the rest.

Trudy,do you notice a difference in depth between the Ace and Prizm,I also here the 1280x is hard to beat for a fresh water detector.
