C+T mode vs. Prospecting mode

Is it normal, that at my XT70 does C+T mode go deeper than Prospecting mode ? (coil 10"DD MF, GB only about 10).
I read always only oppsite opininen.

Thanks for your eventual experince on similar ground conditions.

Prospecting is deeper. What is your Iron mask set at? I think that Prospecting Mode needs slower sweep speed, that may help.

I know, that Prospecting mode should be deeper, unfortunately not at my XT 70. Mask set is at 5, it's no problem, sweep speed I change but also Prospecting pin point can't find
what C+T pinpoint. I think it's due to too mineralized ground although it should be conversely.

You're not comparing the same settings.

In C&T mode the sensitivity and Ground Filtering is different for:

1. Ground Balancing
2. Regular hunting, swinging the coil.
3. Pinpointing

In Prospecting the sweep speed is much slower than C&T to be effective, and you are hunting for tiny objects at relatively shallow depths as opposed to larger objects deeper in C&T mode. Prospecting mode will find tiny objects that are very difficult to get a response in C&T mode. Go to Youtube and watch some videos of people using the GPX series, you need to be moving no faster than them and probably slower as the PI units will handle hot ground better in Prospecting mode.
